Government Jaguar Bail-Out

First we hear that Jaguar are in dire straits and need a bail-out from the Government and then we hear that Tata, the Indian conglomerate that bought Jaguar from Ford, has decided to enter into a sponsorship deal with Ferrari Formula 1.

Now, whilst we do not yet know the financial details of the sponsorship deal, I ask myself whether Tata should be using their money to bolster one of their companies rather than using it for self-promotion.

Maybe Lord Mandelson - him of the queer title - can answer this one.
