Another 'Broken' Labour Promise

The Guardian reports that Labour is to break another of its manifesto promises (whats new?) when it reports that a goal of government policy to extend the statutory entitlement to a year by the end of this parliament will not be met.

As for Mandelson promising that he will meet the long-standing party commitment to give fathers the right to claim up to six months paternity leave, but that it will not come in till 2011, that is 'electioneering' to the point of 'spin'. We can all promise something that we have no hope of ever implementing!

As for Mandelson's speech today, should not that have been a speech given by the Prime Minister, not his 'rear gunner'?
